Maria Dismondy has been writing children's books for almost a decade. Before that, she was a teacher in Michigan's public schools. Holding a Masters degree in curriculum and research, Maria knows what type of children's literature is needed in the classroom and at home. Maria resides in Southeast Michigan with her husband Dave and three book-loving children. P.S. Brooks is a YA writer and children’s illustrator based in Yorkshire, UK. He is a graduate in Fine Art and works primarily in Photoshop using scanned textures such as pastels, paints and other media. He has worked in video games and enjoys connecting with other writers and illustrators online. As an elementary school counselor, this is a great book about teaching kindness. I purchased this book along with donut pool floats and had kids write 1 kind act (on a small sheet of paper) they can do in school. Afterwards, we taped each kind act onto the pool float to be the sprinkles. Great book and kept the kids engaged.
Our 2nd grade class loved this book because it taught us a good lesson about being kind. The story was realistic and we thought of ideas of how we could be kind to others. The book taught us about sharing and caring. We recommend this book for all kids to read.

They gave her company - and PÄ…czki filled donuts!The readers learn to spread kindness and how it makes a difference.This can be good for reading in a 2nd grade group or read independently in 3rd grade.The paperback is a bit to flimsy if you buy the soft cover - I recommend reading it if it has a hard cover.The illustrations were great; 10 out of 10 and fit well with the book!FOR PARENTS: On page 30 (third to last page), it has 5 tips in order to help your family! Read it alone, and it can fill you in on how to be kind to your kid!
Another fabulous story by the uber talented author, Maria Dismondy! Her books all relay an important message while leaving a lifelong imprint on the hearts of the readers! A "must have" for your home and school collection!

I am a 3rd grade teacher and I use this book to help my students that being kind to others doesn't have to be some grand event. Being kind to others is going out of your way to be sure others' days are going well. I love this book with its cross-generational characters as well as cultural references. It's a wonderful story!
Very cute book to use to help teach kindness. I used this book with my third grade students. I took away a star because some parts seemed choppy.
