The real review should follow my trip so I could comment on how much the book helped, but that is at least several months away. So far, I like the layout of the book and the guidelines and resources it provides. The maps are great, and it is easy to scan to the end description of each site to see recommendations for lodging, meals, and public transport . One nit-pick so far: I plan to make hiking a big part of the trip, and the guide says I can get a map of the "Mullerthal" trail from a tourist office in Luxembourg . I have found this to be impractical . The tourist office will only accept a bank transfer of funds and that transaction costs $25 at my bank-- while the map cost is about 4 Euros, so I'll just pick it up in Luxembourg, while I would prefer to have it in hand prior to departure. I'm getting similar responses from other tourist offices when specific maps are requested. This is a nit-pick and I know I am probably old fashioned to want to assemble detailed paper maps of my destinations. Overall I am enjoying the guidebook.

The print is really small and the book is dense almost more like a reference book that you read in bright light.
This 376-page book, the 7th printed edition of March 2018, is an interesting and readable (the two are not always found together) guide to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.Unlike many guides, this is not a glossy booklet dotted with colourful photographs to make it look superficially attractive, but a (literally) rough guide in terms of comparative paper finishes, but well-designed and presented, with readable text, useful maps, and (well-chosen) photographs only where space allowed.
